Week Mark!

Okay, so I've noticed something very strange...I started writing this post on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 9:00 pm (Hawaii time) BUT when I post it, it's going to be marked as me writing it on Sunday...WRONG! It did that to my last 2 posts smh. I'm not sure how to fix that so basically if you look back on my post marked as Wednesday, I actually wrote it Tuesday night. So then my post marked as Thursday, was actually written Wednesday. If I lost you I am so sorry & never mind. Haha Carrying on...

Today marks a week since I've been in the Aloha State (happy dance) lol. I feel like I've lived here for a year already because so much has happened. May I remind you that school hasn't even started yet. lol

Thursday I went to Uncle Silila's house before my appointment with the Financial Aid counselor. I hung out with Monson almost the whole entire day which was nice because I got to know him a little better. He's the best! Seriously. He took me to school & waited for me which was nice. Then we went back home & just chilled...or we thought. About 1:40 pm I get a call. Lo & behold it's someone from the HR office up at school asking me if I could come to a last minute audition at 2 pm for the night show -_- (I wish I could put real emojis to show you how I really felt lol) Of course I said yes. I need a JOB! So we rushed back to Aunty Ola's picked up an ie lava lava, fixed my freaking face & rushed to PCC. I was so freaking NERVOUS...my armpits were sweating. It was disgusting. I auditioned & I think it went well...I hope.

After all that nonsense I followed Monson around his work...he a photographer at PCC & he's stationed in the Samoan village. It was nice to see all of it. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures, I'm mad at myself for that. But my phone was dying & I needed to save as much battery as I could.

I basically spent most of my day at PCC and I got to see Melissa O. (a co-dancer from Hitia; & my cousin Jesse's wife's sister <- whoa that was weird to break down) & Michellae! Later, Afton picked me up & we went to run some errands in Kaneohe.

Friday, I didn't do much...just the usual with Aunty & Uncle in the morning, then sleep again. Lol Hawai'i life for you...jk that's old people life for you.

Later in the afternoon I walked over to Laie to Uncle Silila's. I found him sewing. lol It was cute, he was actually going over the hemming for his curtains. He said, "When you're the man of the house, you have to know how to do everything." Lol I see so many similarities in him & dad. It's crazy. It's not hard to love that man. Then, he asked me & Afton to wash the windows...they were like windows in Samoa... -_____-
You have to take each individual window pane out & wash it. Mind you, they're made out of glass. It took a little while, but Afton got too lazy to take them out & just got a wash cloth & wiped them down lol.

It was nice to relax after all that hard labor lol. Me & Afton waited for Monson to get off of work so we could go meet up with her sister Nedra & her family that were flying in from Utah. I'm so glad I got to meet them. She's got gorgeous kids. Let me see if I remember their names, starting from the oldest: Caleb, Hinckley, Eden, Hunter, Canon & Cumorah. Yaaay, I got it! lol. Nedra is gorgeous herself. I can't believe she popped out 6 babies...she looks amazing!

After meeting up with them, we went to eat at Napoleon's...it was not the best, but it wasn't bad. I got some dessert...brownies, YUM! Lol After we ate, we went back home...I got home at 1 am. lol

S A T U R D A Y (today) I went up to talk to my Landlady (Aunty Sandy) it was a nice visit & she helped me with another job...after our meeting she sent me to Kahuku hospital (literally 2 blocks from Aunty Ola's house) I got a job application & came home.

We rested & got back up for our song practice. Today was our rehearsal so we had to wear our white puletasis, pearl earrings, orange lei & black shoes. Our conductor is tough...but he's really nice. When he means business...he means it. I don't think our practice was as great as last week Sunday, but it was good.

Here's some of our choir members:

There's not that many of us, but man they could sing!
